  • Campobello Island, New Brunswick: Sunrise at 7:14 a.m. ADT; 83% eclipse at 7:18 a.m.
  • Presque Isle, Maine: Sunrise at 6:16 a.m. EDT; 85% eclipse at 6:21 a.m.

The best viewing will be towards the coast. Ensure that the eastern horizon is unobstructed for viewers.


How to Watch an Eclipse Safely

Portions of the East Coast of the U.S. will be able to see an eclipsed sunrise. The phenomenon will occur in locations from Cape Cod to Maine. The sun will be partially covered even in the Virginia and New York areas. It will need to have a low look to the northeast.
