Fact Check: MS Dhoni Has Not Joined BJP

A photograph of former Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni with Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been circulating on social media, suggesting that Dhoni has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). However, this claim is false. According to an India TV Fact Check, there is no evidence to support this assertion. 

The viral image shows Dhoni alongside PM Modi, leading to speculation about his political affiliations. It's important to note that public figures often meet with political leaders for various reasons, and such meetings do not necessarily indicate political endorsements or party memberships.

This isn't the first time Dhoni has been the subject of political rumors. In April 2024, a picture of him was shared with claims that he was urging people to vote for the Congress party. India TV debunked this claim, confirming it was completely false. 

In the age of social media, misinformation can spread rapidly. It's crucial to verify such claims through reliable sources before accepting them as truth.
